Fuel shortages persist across WA with rationing threat still looming

FuelWatch data shows four stations have completely exhausted both petrol and diesel supplies, while a further 17 are without unleaded and 15 have no diesel remaining.

Although the number of dry stations has edged down from Monday when 22 were without petrol and 21 without diesel, the situation remains dire. Especially, in regional areas where some stations have been empty for days.

The Walkaway General Store and Shell Reddy Express Broome are among the most concerning cases, both having been without fuel for an extended period with no immediate relief in sight.

Shell-branded stations feature heavily across the shortage lists, with outlets in Brookdale, Collie, Wembley, Mount Lawley, Tarcoola, Bunbury Gateway and Port Hedland all affected.

Regional centres including Newman, Geraldton, Margaret River and Broome are also caught in the supply squeeze.
