Lucinta Evans, 28, was killed on March 28 in Nadi, on Fiji's main island, just days after celebrating her birthday.

Her family confirmed the news on social media, describing Evans as a young woman whose "energy touched everyone who knew her."

"It is with heavy hearts that we share that our beautiful Lucinta has passed away," the family wrote, asking for privacy as they grieve."

The loss has been deeply felt among her Virgin Australia colleagues. Cabin Manager Lissy Hyde posted an emotional tribute at the site of the incident, where flower bouquets now line the footpath.

"As your Cabin Manager, I come back to the place where it all happened," Hyde wrote.

"Fly with us my girl, beat us to every destination so we know you're there."

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to help Evans' family cover funeral costs and fund road safety advocacy in her memory, including a possible memorial plaque at the location.

The campaign has raised $9,123 toward a $12,000 target.
